The City Council of Puerto del Rosario, through the Department of Culture, announces that the Canarias Manga Festival will return to the capital on October 27, 28 and 29.

The mayor of the capital, David de Vera, explained that this event “is a commitment to diversify the culture in the municipality with which, in addition, we respond to some demands made by the followers of anime and manga that see in the Canarias Manga Festival a great opportunity to get closer to Japanese culture”.

In this sense, the Councillor for Culture, Enrique Soler, added that “for three days, Puerto del Rosario will become the capital of Japanese culture. We are preparing different activities designed for fans of this culture, but also for those who are new to the world of anime, manga, gastronomy or video games related to the Japanese theme”.

In the year 2022 the Canarias Manga Festival held in Puerto del Rosario proved to be an economic, cultural and external promotion success so the City Council of Puerto del Rosario has decided to give continuity in the year 2023 with a new edition of the festival, having planned its celebration during the last weekend of October.
